It was the day the older apprentices would take their Mark of Mastery exams. Ven and Luna stood on the side, eager to see their friends become full fledged Keyblade masters. Siting in one of the masters chairs was the old man who had brought Ventus to the Land of Departure. He was keeping his eye on Ven in a very creepy way. Vonda saw the old man as a black silhouette with strange flames of darkness. But she couldn't be distracted by that, she wanted to pass her exams just as much as the other apprentices.

Chapter 3: The Wayfinders/The Last Night
It was night time at the Land of Departure. The stars in the night sky looked like a million bright dots on a deep dark blue canvas that never ended. Ventus had woken up from a strange dream and saw that a meteor shower was taking place outside. He got out of bed, rushed out of his room and knocked on Luna's door. "Luna! Wake up! Chapter 2: The Dance Night
As the days go by, the keyblade apprentices continue to train while poor Ventus has been asleep for almost two weeks. Estrel tries daily healing sessions using her crystal necklace. Most of the students who were present when Ventus fainted waited outside his room while Estrel tried to heal him.

Chapter 1: Ven's Arrival
It was an average day at the Land of Departure, and many of the apprentices were practicing with their keyblades. They were divided into two teams.
